Karen and Craig Willand were our hosts for wonderful wine get together with a Summer Party Pairings theme. They presented us with some general information on food and wine pairings (even providing us with a takeaway “cheat sheet” we could use for future reference) before presenting two rounds of white and red wines from the Rhone region of France and Abruzzo & Veneto regions of Italy that were paired with a delicous salad, followed by a main course of dry-rub and sauced smoked ribs paired with 2 Italian red wines and finally a tawny port paired with 3 different dessert profiles.
