Our chapter had a wonderful time at the Sip & Share event on March 15th, with special thanks going out to our hosts Sue and Andy Ball. We began the evening sampling a lovely Prosecco while enjoying conversations amongst our group and guests. We had a number of new guests participating who were absolutely fabulous and fun to spend time with – we look forward to seeing them again at future events!
We continued to the main portion of our evening: sharing wine that we had each chosen to bring and hearing stories of why the particular wine was important to us. Some stories were about past occurrences in our lives, some were about present relationships and some were just whimsical. It turned out to be a fabulous collection of life stories and anecdotes that brought out tears and laughter – often both at the same time.
Complimenting the wine was a wonderful collection of food: charcuterie, focaccia & olive oil, shrimp, vegetables & dip, and meatballs.
We finished off the evening with casual conversations between the attendees – wines that piqued our interest, more details from people’s stories and thoughts about future events. All in all, quite a special event that we will not soon forget!
