Memories and friendships were made at the American Wine Society’s pig roast. Thirty-six people attending enjoying great food from Quality Catering and many good wines to enjoy with dinner.

We had a fabulous Tuscan wine tasting at Rick and Marietta’s. About half of the wines were small wineries they visited while in Italy. I was delighted with the Pecorino cheese made from sheep’s milk. A great time was had at the wine and food pairing dinner at the Derby Tavern in Hudsonville, MI. The menu included Parmesan Bacon Fat Popcorn with rosemary infusion, Parmesan Crisp Arugula and Blackened Shrimp, Fresh Herb and Garlic sous Fondant Potatoes and Creme Brulee Cheesecake. We had a wonderful wine (and rum) social with the members of the Grand Rapids Chapter of the AWS.  Everyone brought food, wine and spirits to share.

 Twenty people met at Pietro’s for the Pizza and Chianti dinner. The dinner started with a refreshing glass of Prosecco, then we ordered the 14-inch pizza with a choice of 4 toppings. Eighteen members of the American Wine Society, Grand Rapids Chapter met at the Pour Michigan Wine Barn in Cedar Springs for an afternoon of food, wine and a social time. As always, we had a great time with old friends – making some new friends as well.

The Grand Rapids Chapter of the American Wine Society held a Zinfandel tasting where everyone brought their favorite Zinfandel and an appetizer to share.

The Grand Rapids Chapter of the American Wine Society had a five course dinner, with wine paired with each course, at Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant in Grand Rapids.  The food, wine and service were great – the time with friends was even better. Pictured are guests enjoying a Super Tuscan wine.
